Eccentric presses for hot forging

The high technological level of the machine’s construction, the arrangement of the kinematic mechanisms, and the significant length of the slide guides allow the press to withstand very heavy loads and work cycles.

The design process utilizes the most advanced dedicated software and allows for a very high level of machine customization, ultimately complemented by innovative technological solutions in automation and accessories required by various work demands.

Every type of solution is available in the field of eccentric presses, offering every thrust, dimension, stroke, and speed, allowing the customer to find the optimal solution for any forging problem within the Praber range.

Application sectors
  • Hot forging of alloys

  • Hot forging of brass (faucets and fittings, components for boilers or hydraulics in general)

  • Hot forging of light alloys (components for the automotive and motorcycle, naval, aeronautical, watchmaking sectors, etc.)

  • Hot forging of steel (valve components, screws, joints, connecting rods, flanges, etc.)

PF Series

Mechanical press for hot forging
of non-ferrous materials

PRESS RANGE FROM 2000 TO 4500 kN

Suitable for forging:

Copper
Bronze
Brass
Aluminum
Copper
Bronze
Brass

The PF series of presses is a line of single-crank mechanical presses manufactured with a monolithic electro-welded steel structure.

The raw sheets used to manufacture the frames are meticulously ultrasound-tested and must comply with EN 10160 acceptance classes. The entire structure, once the welding cycle is complete, undergoes a final controlled stress-relieving heat treatment.

At the end of the heat treatment, the entire structure is subjected to sandblasting or shot peening in order to eliminate (slag, rust, etc.) and to obtain the degree of cleanliness required for the type of paint used.

This type of machine is particularly suitable for the hot forging of non-ferrous materials.

Two-column presses with a single point of thrust, the Praber PF series presses are characterized by many advantages: minimal footprint, maximum functionality and ease of use, as well as reduced maintenance costs and consumption.
